Yes, it's been quite a while. How unfortunate, I know. I had hoped to bring news of Putricide downings sooner, but alas, our 25 man raids have had many a heartbreaking wipe since my last post on the Professor. We saw a heartbreaking 1% wipe last week. That kind of thing makes you wish you got off that last cast or maybe avoided that one malleable goo. Our transitions are getting better and better though, so don't fear, that news post is very much on the horizon. We're hoping this week, with Hellscream helping us out with another 5%.
We haven't been wholly without progression though. In fact, our ten man group has made some great strides. THIS, dear reader, is what I have the pleasure of informing you of today. We did get Putricide down a few times in ten man. Why didn't I post then? Well... I was hoping to bring a double post of Putricide kills for both of our raids. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Instead, today I get to reveal a three parter, in which BAMF has finally cleared all three wings of Icecrown Citadel in ten man.
Putricide was long ago, so my memory of that momentous occasion is foggy at best. Over the last few weeks we've gotten Blood Queen and Sindragosa though, and there was much jubilation. Last week was her majesty, this week was that big bony beast. Blood queen was much of a surprise and our kill was JUST shy of a heartbreaking wipe. It was, however, our second attempt ever at her. One to get the strat down and see her abilities, the second to pull it off. The attempt wasn't without it's other hardships though. One tank didn't have Vent working that day. Kurios, in order to continue his devout devotion to our cause picked up a new laptop so he could raid while on the road for work. The hotel's wireless settings prevented him from being able to connect to Vent. Since then he played IT support for the hotel to not only get Vent working for him but also to access other needs for his REAL work over there. We ate some explosions in the air phases and at the end of the fight had people slivered and all three healers down as well as a majority of the DPS. In the end though, I suppose this only added more excitement and fervor in the long run and subsiquent attempts will see things go smoother and easier. It was the incredible successes that we saw here that made us determine to extend the lockout since we had such momentum going.

This week we dedicated much of our time (read: basically all of it) to Sindragosa. It was a long and grueling night. We inched closer and closer though, with each attempt. Even Seacow's legendarily terrible latency issues stopped playing an issue (though this may have been due to Vareenus planning ahead and picking up body and soul just for him). I must admit, as it got later and later in the night it got a bit trying, but eventually our DPS figured out their transitions from Sindragosa to the tombs and our ranged and healers learned to deal with stacks and stay in the right positions. Creases were ironed out and the whole process was perfected for a great kill without anyone dead at the end of the fight.

Since we still had a little time left, we thought "Why not?" We'd been waiting this long to take on the man himself, so we just couldn't help ourselves. Especially with renewed vigor. We went right to the Lich King and had our first attempt against him. I'm sure some of us went in blind, and we didn't really have the time to really get things down, but a little exposure couldn't hurt. Plus, what if, you know? There's definitely work to be done there, but we're going back after our 25 man raid to possibly wipe the floor with his unholiness.
